The National Organization of Investment Professionals(NOIP) is a nonprofit association of investment professionals, including chief executives, institutional traders and managers for registered investment advisors as well as brokerage firms, and representatives of major stock exchanges and ECN's including floor brokers and specialists. Members have a common objective of fostering a favorable regulatory environment for institutional participation in the securities markets with fair and open markets for all participants. Members and the firms they represent trade approximately 70% of the institutional volume transacted daily in the New York and Nasdaq markets.
Conferences are held semi-annually, In November and in May.
NOIP was formed in 1983 and has 210 active members, the maximum permitted by its by-laws, and 75 honorary members. Members represent all segments of the industry.
